Srilankan Humanitarian Crisis

Dear most friends,

I am deeply saddened to watch the humanitarian crisis, that is rapidly unfolding in front of our eyes to our fellow brethren Srilankan Tamils. I personally feel that we are all morally obliged to help minimize the pain of these people.

Lately I spoke to many Srilankan Tamils to identify ways to help their relatives back home. All of them unanimously suggested IMHO. It is an International Medical Health Organisation jointly staffed by doctors all over the world. Doctors take time off during their holidays or between their jobs to go to Srilanka to help these people.

I understand that among our busy schedule, it will be very difficult to go there in person. However by god’s grace, we are in a position to help monetarily. Please contribute generously to this cause. Few hundred dollars or pounds will go a long way in saving millions of young lives.

Also we should carefully monitor this problem and urge our lawmakers to make sure Srilankan government lives upto its promises.
